Create Shipment Notifications

Note: UPS Trade Direct is available only if you have a contract for this service.

You can notify a contact about the status of the following:

Tip: You can also notify a contact about the status of a shipped consolidated movement. See Create Consolidated Movement Notifications.

To create a shipment notification for a UPS Small Package child shipment:

  1. On the Options tab, do one of the following:

  2. Select the Quantum View Notify check box under Shipment Options to create a shipment notification for a shipped child shipment.

  3. Select the Quantum View Notify check box under Package Options to create a shipment notification for a package within a shipped child shipment.

  1. Click the Recipients button. The Quantum View Notify Recipients (Shipment) or Quantum View Notify Recipients (Package) window appears as appropriate.

  2. Specify up to five e-mail recipients and the type of each notification. These types include:

  3. Ship Notification - an e-mail that alerts the recipient(s) that consolidated movement information has been received by UPS.

  4. Exception Notification - an e-mail that alerts the recipient(s) of a rescheduled delivery date.

  5. Delivery Notification - an e-mail that alerts the recipient(s) about the arrival of a consolidated movement, including the date, time, and name of the recipient.

  1. Click the OK button. The UPS Trade Direct Manager window appears.

To create a shipment notification for an LTL/TL child shipment:

  1. On the Options tab, select the Quantum View Notify check box under Shipment Options to create a shipment notification for a shipped child shipment.

  2. Click the Recipients button. The Quantum View Notify Recipients (Shipments) window appears.

  3. Specify up to five e-mail recipients and the type of each notification. These types include:
