Specify the Handling Units for UPS Ground (Freight Pricing)

Note: The Handling Unit tab in the Create Ground (Freight Pricing) Shipment window appears only for density-based shippers.

To add a handling unit to the handling unit grid:

1. Click the button on the Handling Unit tab to expand the handling unit grid.

2. Select the Save/Update Handling Units check box to add or update the handling unit information in the grid to the Handling Unit Editor.

3. Type the handling unit description in the Description box.
   
   Tip: To add a large number of handling units, use the Handling Unit Search button as an alternative to adding items to your shipment on the Service tab. Click the Handling Unit Search button to display the Handling Unit Search window and access handling unit information in the Handling Unit Editor. See Search for a Handling Unit for Ground (Freight Pricing).

4. Click the down arrow in the Handling Unit Type and select a type. See Handling Unit Type Codes.

5. Type the number of units in the Units box (maximum of 999).

6. Type the largest dimension in the Length box.

7. Type the second largest dimension in the Width box.

8. Type the third largest dimension in the Height box.

9. Click the button to reduce the handling unit grid.

Note: To delete a handling unit from the handling unit grid, select the handling unit and click the Delete button. To delete all handling units from the handling unit grid, click the Delete All button.
