Note: Use the Handling Unit Editor to add new handling units. See Add a Custom Handling Unit.
To search for a custom handling unit and add it to the shipment:
Click the Search button on the Handling Unit tab in the Create Ground (Freight Pricing) Shipment window. The Handling Unit Search window appears.
Supply the following criteria under Search:
Tip: The dimension boxes accept only whole numbers using the unit of measure set on the Shipping tab in the System Preferences Editor window.
In the Description box, enter a brief description.
In the Handling Unit Type box, click the down arrow and select a handling unit type. (Select All to match handling units with any handling unit type.)
In the Length box, enter the largest dimension.
In the Width box, enter the second largest dimension.
In the Height box, enter the third largest dimension.
Click the Search button to perform the database search. Once matches are found, those matches appear under Search Results.
Notes:
If no records match your criteria, the following message appears: "No handling units match you search." Click the OK button and revise your criteria.
UPS WorldShip sorts the handling units by Description. To re-sort the search results by other criteria, click the appropriate column header.
Select the check box under Select Handling Unit for each handling unit that you want to add to your shipment.
Update fields for each handling unit as needed.
Click the Add button to add the handling unit to the shipment. The Handling Unit Search window closes, and the item appears on the Handling Unit tab on the Service tab in the Shipping window.
