Notes:
UPS SurePost is available only if you have a contract for this service.
Distribution list processing is available for identical UPS SurePost shipments. See Process Identical Shipments with a Distribution List.
To process a UPS SurePost shipment:
Select a shipper and a profile:
Click the down arrow in the Shipper box and select a shipper.
Click the down arrow in the Profile box and select a profile. This box becomes inactive once you begin typing information for the shipment.
Specify
the Ship To address. See Address Guidelines.
Note: The address must be to a US 50, APO/FPO/DPO,
PO Box, or US territory Ship To destination.
Specify
the Ship From address.
Note: The address must be from the US 48.
On the Service tab:
Note: Your entries in the Package Type, Length, Width, and Height
boxes appear on both the Service and Detail tabs. You can change your
entries on either tab.
Click the down arrow in the UPS Service box and select a service type. See UPS Service Codes for UPS SurePost Shipments.
Click the
down arrow in the Endorsement box and select an endorsement type if
applicable.
Note: This box appears only for USPS-delivered
shipments. The endorsement prints in English on package labels, regardless
of the WorldShip installation language.
Click the down arrow in the Package Type box and select a type. See Package Type Codes for UPS SurePost Shipments.
Type the package dimensions in the Length, Width, and Height boxes or use the electronic dimensioner (if available). The total package dimension cannot exceed 130 inches if you select SurePost Less than 1 lb or SurePost 1 lb or Greater or 108 inches if you select SurePost Bound Printed Matter or SurePost Media in the UPS Service box. To determine the total dimension, measure the package length and then add twice the width and twice the height.
Type the
reference numbers in the Reference Number boxes.
Note: Reference numbers do not print on
standard SurePost labels. If reference numbers are needed, a Doc
label will be required.
Click the
down arrow in the Postal Subclass box and select a subclass.
Note: This box appears only if you have a contract and select
SurePost Less than 1 lb in the UPS Service box.
Leave Shipper in the Bill Transportation To box to indicate the shipper will pay for the transportation.
Select the With Return Services check box to specify the Return Services shipment option. If selected, the UPS Service box defaults to Ground and the Return Services type defaults to the type selected on the Return Services tab in the Shipper Editor window.
Type the weight of the package in the Package box or use the electronic scale or dimensioner (if available).
On the Options tab, select the Quantum View Notify and/or UPS carbon neutral check boxes under Shipment Options as needed. See Shipment and Package Options.
On the Detail tab:

Type a description in the Merchandise Description for Package box.
Type any instructions in the Special Instructions for Shipment box.
On the Reference tab:
Note: Your entries in the Package ID and Cost Center boxes appear
on both the Service and Reference tabs. You can change your entries
on either tab.
Type the package ID in the Package ID box.
Type the cost center in the Cost Center box if needed.
Type up to three reference numbers in the Reference Number boxes. For information on setting defaults for these three boxes, see Specify the Reference Numbers.
On the Customs Documentation tab, record the export document and goods details for an international shipment. See Provide International Documentation Info for UPS SurePost Shipments.
When you are finished, click the Process Shipment button. The following print:

Customs Declaration CN 22 (if you select the Print CN 22 check box on the UPS SurePost tab in the Shipper Editor window). See Add or Modify a Shipper.
