On the Ship To tab in the Shipping window, you must provide information about the company or customer receiving your shipment and the delivery address. The blue labels indicate required fields.
To display information for an existing customer from the Address Book, do one of the following:
Type the customer ID in the Customer ID box and press the Tab key.
Type the first few letters of the customer in the Company or Name box until WorldShip can identify the customer in the Address Book and press the Enter key and then the Tab key.
Click the down arrow in the Company or Name box and select a customer from the list.
Click Search next to the Company or Name box, and using the Address Book Search window, locate and select the customer. See Search for and Select an Address.
UPS WorldShip fills in the rest of the address information from the Address Book.
To display information for a new customer:
Select the Update Address Book check box to add the new customer to the Address Book. Clear this check box if you do not want to add the new customer to the Address Book.
Select the Residential check box if the shipment will not be delivered to a commercial location.
Type the name and address of the person or company to receive your shipment. See Address Guidelines.
Type the telephone, e-mail address (see Validate E-mail Addresses), UPS account number, and tax ID number in the optional boxes as needed.
Notes:
To process an identical shipment to multiple customers, use a distribution list and the Distribution tab in the Shipping window (instead of the Ship To tab). See Process Identical Shipments with a Distribution List.
Change what information appears with the name in the Company or Name box when you click the down arrow. Your choices include the Customer ID, Address 1, Attention, Address 3, or City or Town. See Set Shipping System Preferences.
Change the emphasis for the first entry box from Company or Name to Customer ID or from Customer ID to Company or Name. See Set Shipping System Preferences.
Tip: Selecting a profile that includes a custom tabbing order in the Preferred Tab Order box overrides this preference.
