Determine Required International Documents

When preparing an international shipment for shipping, you must prepare all export documents needed to accompany the shipment.

If the origin of the shipment is the United States or Puerto Rico, you may need to prepare the following documents:

• Commercial Invoice

• Electronic Export Information (EEI)

• US Certificate of Origin (CO)

• Power of Attorney

• International Shipper Agreement

Most shipments require only a Commercial Invoice, but some shipments may require one or more of the other documents, depending on the destination country and the value of the goods.

If the origin of the shipment is other than the United States or Puerto Rico, you may need to prepare the following documents:

• Commercial Invoice

• Address Only Invoice

If the origin of the shipment is Canada, you may need to prepare the following documents:

• Canadian Certificate of Origin (CO)

• Declaration for Free Entry of Unaccompanied Articles US Customs Form 3299

• Export Declaration

• Declaration for Imported Electronic Products Subject to Radiation Control Standards FDA Form 2877

• Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Form 740

• Textile Declaration - Single Country or Multiple Countries

• Video Film Declaration
