Note: UPS World Ease is available only if you have a contract for this service.
You must run the End of Day process for each Pending Collection group (under UPS Collections in the Shipment History window). This process transmits your shipment data to UPS and prints the reports required by your UPS driver.
To run the End of Day process:
If Future Date Processing is on, select the Pending Collection group (under UPS Collections in the Shipment History window) for which you want to run the End of Day process. If Future Date Processing is off, go to step 2.
On the Home tab, select End of Day. If you have open World Ease shipments, UPS WorldShip asks, "Would you like to cancel End of Day and close out World Ease shipments first?"
If you click the Yes button, the UPS World Ease Manager window appears. Close out any open World Ease master shipments (see Close Out Master Shipments) and then repeat the End of Day process.
If you click the No button, the End of Day Processing window appears and asks, "Are you ready to close today’s shipping and send the shipment information to UPS?"
Tip: If Future Date Processing is on, this window asks, "Are you ready to close the collection dated MM/DD/YYYY and send the shipment information to UPS?"
Click the Yes button. The reports print and the shipment data transmits for the Pending Collection group you selected. After the transmission, the Shipment History window appears.
Tip: If Future Date Processing is on, the Select Active Collection Date window appears. Click the down arrow, select the active collection date and click the OK button. The Shipment History window appears.
Make sure the shipment data from the End of Day process is identified, by date and time, under UPS Collections in the Shipment History window.
Select the date and time entry under UPS Collections and make sure the status bar shows the data was sent. If the "Data Not Sent" message appears on the status bar and "NOT SENT" appears in red next to the date and time, you need to resend the data. See Resend Data to UPS.
Process your reports. See Print the End of Day Reports.
Notes:
If you process additional shipments on a day for which you have already run the End of Day process, simply repeat the process to transmit your shipment data to UPS and print the reports. Remember to give your UPS driver all the reports generated for the day’s shipments (one set for each End of Day process).
For non-US 50 and non-Puerto Rico shippers:
You can run the End of Day process on any day of the week.
The ship date reflects the date the End of Day process is run.
For Future Date Processing, you can select any day of the week as an active collection date.
For US 50 and Puerto Rico shippers:
If today is a weekday, the collection date is set to today for all collections, and the Saturday Collection shipment option is cleared for all Saturday shipments.
If today is Saturday or Sunday and the active collection date is a weekday, the collection date is changed to Monday.
If today is Saturday and the active collection date is Saturday, the collection date is set to today.
You cannot select Sunday as an active collection date.
