Note: UPS World Ease is available only if you have a contract for this service.
To create a child shipment:
Specify the general child shipment information. See Process a Shipment.
Tips:
Be sure to select the World Ease check box on the Service tab. To set a default for this check box, see About the Profile Editor.
Use the Shipment Navigation Bar to add packages in this child shipment.
Specify the international shipment information. See Specify Customs Documentation Information.
Click the Process Child Shipment button and complete the action necessary to associate the child shipment with an open master shipment:
If the "This shipment has been automatically associated with an open Master Shipment." message appears, specific criteria in the child shipment exactly match the criteria in an open master shipment. The child shipment is automatically associated with that master shipment. Click the OK button and continue with step 4.
If the "This shipment does not have a master shipment associated with it. Please create and/or select a master shipment for this child." message appears, an exact match with an open master shipment was not found automatically. Click the OK button, and the UPS World Ease Manager window appears so you can manually associate this child shipment with an open master shipment. See Associate Child Shipments with Master Shipments.
If there are no open or candidate master shipments, and you selected the Create Master Shipment Automatically shipper setting, the following message appears: "A Master Shipment has been automatically created and associated for this Child Shipment." Click the OK button, and the Shipping window appears. To view the new master shipment, select World Ease on the My Services tab and then World Ease Manager. The new master shipment is selected in the UPS World Ease Manager window.
If this child shipment is to be aggregated with an existing child shipment, the "This shipment will be aggregated with an existing child shipment (Shipment ID: xxxxxxxxxxx) on the currently selected Master Shipment (Master Shipment ID: xxxxxxxxxxx)." message appears.
Click the OK button. The Electronic Export Information (EEI) prints with the aggregated child shipment values.
