The WorldShip database back up can be done in WorldShip and in the WorldShip Support Utility.
Note: A database back up can only be restored from the WorldShip Support Utility.
To back up in WorldShip do the following:
On the WorldShip ribbon, click the Support tab and then Back Up Data. The Back Up Files window opens and shows the default location for saving (C:ProgramData\UPS\WSTD\SUPPORT\DBSupport). To change the default location, click Browse and navigate to the location where you want to save the back up. Continue from Step 7
To back up in the UPS WorldShip Support Utility, close WorldShip and do the following:
On the Windows task bar, click Start. (For Windows 8.x move the mouse to the right side of the screen and click search)
In the Search box, type UPS WorldShip Support Utility.
Click UPS WorldShip Support Utility in the results.
In the UPS WorldShip Support Utility window, double click Data Maintenance.
In the UPS WorldShip Data Maintenance window, Database Operations section, click Back Up.
The UPS WorldShip -Back Up Files window opens and shows the default location where to save (C:\ProgramData\UPS\WSTD\SUPPORT\DBSupport). To change the default location, click Browse and navigate to the location where you want to save the back up.
Note: If your Shipper account is HAZMAT, Dangerous Goods or Category A-enabled, you can select the check box to Include NRFvlDB in the back up which will allow you to back up any custom commodities that you have set up.
Click Back Up. A UPS WorldShip - Back Up Files progress window opens and shows the back up details.
When the back up has finished, a message pops up indicating that the back up is complete and where it is located. Click OK and follow the prompts to exit the UPS WorldShip Support Utility.
When you are prompted with the message 'Are you sure you want to exit the UPS Support application? Click Yes.
