Shipment History Window Overview

This window provides information about individual shipments and packages you have processed using the Shipping window. You cannot change most of the information you see in this window; however, you can select shipments and packages to edit, void and track. This topic does provide information on the few fields in which you can type information.

This window consists of the following:

• Title Bar :

  Appears at the top of the Shipping and Shipment History windows and shows the product title and the active collection date (if Future Date Processing is turned on). For information on the Collection Date mode, see About Future Date Processing.

• Ribbon and Quick Access Toolbar :

  Appears at the top of the Shipping and Shipment History windows. Use these navigation items to do common WorldShip tasks. See Ribbon Navigation.

• Tracking No/Pkg Ticket ID :

  Allows you to search for a package/pallet/shipment by 1Z,  Collection Reference Number,  PRO number (Ground Freight),  Shipment ID (Air Freight),  Sub Pro number,  Unique Shipment Identifier (USI), Package ID (UPS Mail Innovations) or Postal Service Tracking ID.  Simply type all or part of the number in this box and click the Find button. See Quick Search for a Shipment. To do an advanced search, click the Find button and see Full Search for a Shipment.

• UPS Collections :

  This area displays several types of shipments:

  • Deferred Shipments that were not completed and have not been assigned tracking numbers. These shipments may have missing shipment information (such as package weight).

  • Imported Shipments that were imported into WorldShip from an external source. These shipments have not been processed.

  • Pending Collection Shipments that are ready for End of Day processing. The scheduled collection date is listed for each Pending Collection group.

  • In Error Shipments or distribution list shipments that contain incomplete or invalid data.

  Icons show the hierarchy of shipment information by descending levels:

  • A icon indicates a type of shipment (see descriptions above). For Future Date Processing, the icon indicates the active collection. (Note: The active collection date also appears on the title bar at the top of the Shipping and Shipment History windows.)

  • A icon indicates a shipper for a specific type of shipment.

  • An icon indicates a shipment (Ship To) for a specific shipper; an icon indicates a Return Services  shipment (if it was created by batch, it will be displayed as a separate shipment); an icon indicates an Import Control shipment; an icon indicates a Doc Box for a UPS World Ease master shipment. The and  icons indicate marked shipments and marked Return Services shipments. The , and icons indicate voided shipments and voided Return Services shipments. The icon indicates shipments that you have manually marked as voided after voiding the shipments from the UPS Void Shipments Page.

  • An icon indicates a package for a specific shipment; an icon indicates a Return Services package; an icon indicates an Import Control package. The and icons indicate marked packages and marked Return Services packages. The and icons indicate voided packages and voided Return Services packages. The icon indicates packages that you have manually marked as voided after voiding the packages from the UPS Void Shipments Page. Icons with an up arrow (, ,), indicate that some package detail information has already been sent to UPS.

• Infectious Substance Category A

  See Infectious Substance Category A.

• UPS Consolidated Movements :

  Icons show the hierarchy of shipment information as follows:

  • A icon indicates a type of consolidated movement, such as Open Movements, Closed Movements or Imported Shipments.

  • A icon indicates a shipper.

  • An icon indicates a consolidated movement or a child shipment for a specific shipper; an icon indicates a Return Services shipment. The and icons indicate marked shipments and marked return service shipments. The and icons indicate voided shipments and voided return service shipments. The icon indicates shipments that you have manually marked as voided after voiding the shipments from the UPS Void Shipments Page.

  • An icon indicates a package for a specific child shipment; an icon indicates a Return Services package. The and icons indicate marked packages and marked return service packages. The and icons indicate voided packages and voided return service packages. The icon indicates packages that you have manually marked as voided after voiding the packages from the UPS Void Shipments Page.

• UPS Mail Innovations :

  This area displays several types of shipments:

  • Deferred Shipments are shipments that have been saved, but are not processed.

  • Imported Shipments were imported into UPS WorldShip from an external source. These shipments have not been processed.

  • In Error Shipments contain incomplete or invalid data.

  • Pending Collection, Shipments are ready for close out. The scheduled collection date is listed for each Pending Collection group.

  • Closed out shipments are represented by the date and time.

  Icons show the hierarchy of shipment information by descending levels:

  • A icon indicates a type of shipment (see descriptions above). For Future Date Processing, the icon indicates the active collection. (Note: The active collection date also appears on the title bar at the top of the Shipping and Shipment History windows.)

  • A icon indicates a shipper for a specific type of shipment.

  • A icon indicates a shipment (Ship To) for a specific shipper.

  • A icon indicates a package for a specific shipment.

• Worldwide Express Freight™ :

  Icons show the hierarchy of shipment information as follows:

  •  A icon indicates a type of Worldwide Express Freight shipment, such as Deferred Shipments, Imported Shipments, In Error Shipments, Need to Schedule a collection and Pending Collection.

  •  A icon indicates a shipper.

  •  A icon indicates a shipment (Ship To) for a specific shipper.

  • A icon indicates a pallet for a specific shipment.

• Ground Freight :

   Icons show the hierarchy of shipment information as follows:

  •  A icon indicates a type of Ground Freight shipment, such as Draft, Imported Shipments, In Error Shipments, Pending Shipments and Closed Shipments.

  •  A icon indicates a shipper.

  •  A icon indicates a freight shipment for a specific shipper.

• Air Freight :

   Icons show the hierarchy of shipment information as follows:

  •  A icon indicates a type of Air Freight shipment, such as Draft, Imported Shipments, In Error Shipments, Pre-Authorisation Required, Pending Shipments and Closed Shipments.

  •  A icon indicates a shipper.

  •  A icon indicates a freight shipment for a specific shipper.

• Shipper/Ship To/Ship From/UPS Access Point™/Collection From/Return To/Consolidated Movement/Origin CFS Address/Destination CFS Address/Master Shipment/Importer Tabs :

  These tabs may appear depending on the selected type of shipment:

  • If you select a shipper (), the Shipper tab identifies the shipper’s number, name, address, telephone number and fax number.

  • If you select a shipper () for a closed out UPS Mail Innovations shipment, the Shipper tab also displays the Shipment Control Number.

  • If you select a shipment () or a package (), the Ship To and Ship From tabs identify the Ship To and Ship From name, address, telephone number, email address and company display name (if available).

  • If you select a shipper () for a shipment with the Hold at UPS Access Point shipment option, the UPS Access Point tab identifies where the shipment will be sent.

  • If you select an Air or a Ground Freight shipment (), the Ship To and Ship From tabs identify the Ship To and Ship From name, address, telephone number and email address. The Ship From tab also identifies the fax number.

  • If you select a shipment or package with a Return Services option (), the Collection From and Return To tabs identify the Collect From and Return To name, address, telephone number and email address.

  • If you select a UPS Trade Direct consolidated movement (), the Consolidated Movement tab identifies the USI, product type, target ready date, trade lane and shipper reference. The Origin CFS Address and Destination CFS Address tabs identify address information of the Origin CFS and Destination CFS.

  • If you select a UPS World Ease master shipment (), the Master Shipment tab identifies the shipment ID, type, collection date, port of entry and clearance country/territory for the master shipment. The Importer tab displays the address of the Importer for the selected master shipment.

  Note: UPS Trade Direct and UPS World Ease are available only if you have contracts for the services.

• Shipment/Billing Information/Package/Pallet/Detail/Commodity/Handling Unit/Consolidated Movement Detail/Master Shipment Detail Tabs :

  These tabs may appear depending on the selected type of shipment:

  • If you select a shipment (), the Shipment tab identifies the shipment's service; shipment ID; actual, billable weight; number of packages; any applicable Hundredweight indicator; six-digit freight collect identifier; MRN for German-origin shipments (or you can add the MRN here if it was not supplied during shipment processing); and guaranteed delivery time. The Shipment tab also shows the Duties and Taxes button (if available) to display the read-only Estimated Duties and Taxes Cost window. The Handling Unit tab identifies the handling units in the shipment. The Billing Information tab identifies who pays the transportation, duty and tax charges for the selected shipment. Click the ... button to display a read-only Third-Party Address window.

  • If you select a package within a shipment (), the Package tab identifies the package's tracking number, package and billable weight, package type and any applicable dimensions and the large package indicator.

  • If you select a Worldwide Express Freight shipment (), the Shipment tab identifies the UPS Service, Shipment ID, Collection Date, Collection Reference Number (PRN), Total Pallets, MRN for German-origin shipments (or you can add the MRN here if it was not supplied during shipment processing),Time, Actual, Billable Weight and Total Cost. Click the Drop Off/Deliver To button to display the Drop-Off/Deliver To Locations window. If you select a Worldwide Express Freight pallet (), the Pallet tab identifies the Tracking Number, Dimensions, Pallet Type and Pallet Weight, and Pieces on the Pallet, and displays a Quantum View Notify Details button (if the pallet option was selected).

  • If you select a UPS Mail Innovations shipment (), the Shipment tab identifies the UPS Service, Collection Date (if future-date processing is on), Total Packages (always shows 1) and Actual Weight (if entered). If you select a UPS Mail Innovations package (), the Package tab identifies the Package ID, Dimensions (if entered), Package Type and Package Weight (if entered), and displays a Quantum View Notify Details button (if the package option was selected). The Billing Information tab always shows Shipper as the Bill Transportation To.

  • If you select an Air or a Ground Freight shipment (), the Detail tab identifies the details of the shipment, the Commodity tab identifies the commodities in the shipment and the Handling Unit tab identifies the handling units in the shipment. Click the Collection Notifications button on the Detail tab to display the Collection Notifications for LTL window in read-only mode.

  • If you select a UPS Trade Direct consolidated movement (), the Consolidated Movement Detail tab identifies the shipment's number of LTL/TL child shipments, the number of UPS Small Package child shipments, total weight and total invoice amount.

  • If you select a UPS World Ease master shipment (), the Master Shipment Detail tab identifies the shipment’s service, number of shipments and packages, total weight, MRN for German-origin shipments (or you can add the MRN here if it was not supplied during shipment processing) and total invoice amount.

  Notes:

  • UPS Trade Direct and UPS World Ease are available only if you have contracts for the services.

  • Click the Detail Cost button to display the Shipment Detail Cost or Package Level Detail Cost window. The Shipment Detail Cost window summarises the shipping and options costs associated with the shipment. The Package Level Detail Cost window summarises the cost for an individual package.

• Options Tab :

  This tab displays the package and shipment options applied to the shipment, package, consolidated movement or master shipment.

• Misc. Tab :

  • If you select a shipment () or a package (), the Misc. tab displays any notes and special instructions specified for the shipment, package, consolidated movement or master shipment.

  • If you select a shipment (), the Misc tab displays the Label Printer, Report Printer, Invoice Printer, World Ease Printer and Dangerous Goods Printer IDs that are used to process the shipment.

  • If you select a UPS Mail Innovations shipment (), the Misc tab displays the Package ID, Cost Centre Number (if entered) and special instructions (if entered).

  • If you select a UPS Mail Innovations package (), the Misc tab displays the USPS,  Package ID, Cost Centre Number and other reference numbers (if entered).

  • If you select a UPS SurePost package (), the Misc. tab displays the Postal Service Tracking ID, USPS Weight and Delivery Area Surcharge.

• User Uploaded Forms Tab :

  This tab appears at the shipment level for small package and Air Freight shipments to which user-created forms are attached. Using this tab:

  • View the file location and name of the file where you stored one or more forms.

  • View the types of forms stored.

  • Click the View Forms link to see a list of uploaded forms for viewing.

  • Click the Add/Delete Forms button to display the Upload My Forms window and add or delete forms.

• Status Bar :

  Appears at the bottom of the window and shows:

  • Information and non-critical error messages. Messages in blue are high-priority informational messages; messages in red indicate errors; messages in black indicate general information.

  • Information about what you are currently doing. For example, if you display a toolbar tip for a button, the left portion of the status bar displays a more detailed definition.

  • The UPS WorldShip version number.

  • Information about the record currently selected under UPS Collections or UPS Consolidated Movements.
