UPS Smart Pick-up^® combines the convenience of a recurring pick-up with the flexibility of an on-demand pick-up. We’ll come to your business only when you have a package to ship. UPS Smart Pick-up is our most environmentally friendly scheduled pick-up option.

How To Schedule a UPS Smart Pick-up

When you process a shipment using UPS.com shipping, UPS WorldShip^® or UPS CampusShip^® , the system automatically notifies a UPS driver to stop by on the same business day to pick up all prepared packages.

Automatic package pick-up

Log in to UPS.com. If you don’t have a username, create one.
Under ‘My Accounts and Payment Options’, find the applicable account.
Click under ‘Actions’ and select ‘View Account Details’. Then, click ‘Pick-up Options’ and select ‘UPS Smart Pick-up’.
Fill out your preferred pick-up times and driver instructions, if applicable. Click ‘Save’.

Pro Tip

For customers with multiple shipping account numbers, make sure to use a UPS Smart Pick-up account number in order to initiate your pick-up. If you use an account number not associated with UPS Smart Pick-up, no pick-up will be automatically initiated.

Here Are the Details

For customers who process shipments using UPS.com shipping, UPS WorldShip^® or UPS CampusShip^®

Available Monday to Friday, excluding UPS holidays.
Available for all UPS services except Worldwide Express Freight.
The deadline for a UPS Smart Pick-up is generally one hour before your scheduled pick-up time – as long as you process your first shipment before the deadline, all of your packages will be picked up on the same business day.

Pro Tip

If your first shipment of the day is processed after your deadline, you can schedule a UPS Smart Pick-up for the following business day. For an air or international shipment, you can request one UPS On-Call Pick-up^® per day at no extra charge* by calling +1-800-PICK-UPS.

* Pick-up must occur at your usual pick-up location.
