The Commodity Editor allows you to add, modify, or delete a list of commodities that you expect to specify in International shipments. After adding the commodities to the Commodity Editor, use the Search Commodities feature to add the commodities to your International shipments. See Search for and Select a Commodity for an International Shipment.
To add a commodity:
On the Tools tab, select Commodities and then International. The International Commodity Editor window appears. The top of this window lists the commodities you have recorded so far. The bottom of this window contains fields on which you enter detailed information about a commodity you want to record.
Under Invoice/EEI/CO Common Data:
Type the Universal Product Code (UPC) of the good in the UPC box.
Type the Amazon Standard Identification Number (ASIN) of the good in the ASIN box.
Type a description of the good in the Description of Good box or click the down arrow and select a previously entered description.
Type the part number of the good in the Part Number box.
Click the button at the bottom of the Editor to add a Harmonized Tariff Code for the good. A tariff code is a product-specific code as documented in the Harmonized System (HS) maintained by the World Customs Organization (WCO). See Add A Harmonized Tariff Code - Harmonized Tariff Code Editor.
Click the down arrow in the Country/Territory of Origin box and select a country/territory of origin.
Click the Add / Modify Commodity button. WorldShip lists the commodity at the top of this window.
Type the price of a single unit of the good in the Unit Price box.
Click the down arrow in the Currency box and select the currency that applies to the good.
Under EEI/SLI-Specific Data:
Under License Information, click the down arrow in the License Type box and select a type (see License Type Codes), and then if needed, type the license number in the License Number box and click the down arrow in the Expiration Date box and select a calendar day.
In the Schedule B No box, type how many of the Schedule B units of the current good will be in your shipment. Required if the Unit of Measure 1 box displays an entry other than No Quantity Required.
Click the DDTC button if needed to display the DDTC Information window and enter the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) information for arms control.
Click the down arrow in the Unit of Measure 1 box and select the first unit of measure for the current good.
Click the down arrow in the Unit of Measure 2 box and select the second unit of measure for the current good.
Type an Export Control Commodity Number (ECCN) in the ECCN box.
Click the down arrow in the D/F/M box and select D (Domestic), F (Foreign), or M (Military).
Click the Add New Commodity button. WorldShip lists the commodity at the top of this window.
When you are finished, click the Close button.
Note: To remove all commodity data from this window, click the Clear All Data button.
