The Tab Order Editor allows you to create a custom tabbing order. By changing the tabbing order, you can more closely match your entry requirements to the entry fields in the Shipping window and reduce the need to tab past unnecessary fields. Changing the tabbing order may save time and speed up processing.
To access the Tab Order Editor, select Create/Edit Tab Order on the Tools tab or click the ... button next to the Tab Order box in the Profile Editor window. Using the Tab Order Editor, you can create, delete, or modify custom tab orders as well as view the following predefined tabbing order:
UPS - This tab order takes you to every field in the Shipping window. The availability of options and entry fields may still change in response to your choices.
UPS Accessible Shipping - With the addition of the Total Cost, Primary Rate, Secondary Rate, and Shipment Weight fields, UPS Accessible Shipping now takes you to every field in the Shipping window, just like the UPS predefined tab order does.
Quick Ship - This tab order allows you to tab to the minimum fields required to ship a package (that is, basic Ship To information and package weight).
Quick Ship w/Options - In addition to tabbing to the minimum fields required to ship a package, this tab order takes you to all the fields on the Service and Options tabs for which a predefined value (or default) cannot be set. Note that you can tab to the Shipment Options and Package Options groups on the Options tab, but you cannot tab between the option check boxes.
For more information on the exact entry fields in the above options, see Compare the Predefined Tabbing Orders.
When working with tab orders, keep in mind:
To use a tabbing order, you must assign it to a profile, which in turn can be assigned to a specific shipper or customer or selected from the Profile box in the Shipping window.
You can assign the same tab order to more than one profile.
If you do not assign a tab order to a profile or select a profile in the Shipping window, UPS WorldShip assigns the UPS tab order.
If you work in a workgroup environment, see Tab Order Editor Rules in a Workgroup Environment.
