Use the various tabs in the System Preferences Editor window to set many system preferences.
On the Hardware tab, you can:

Set up an electronic scale.
Set up an electronic dimensioner.

On the Printing Setup tab, you can:
Set up and test label, report, Invoice, Dangerous Goods, and World Ease printers.
Set up your label configuration (that is, the label printer and label stock).
Select whether or not you want to print consignee and doc labels.
Configure reference numbers to print on the labels.
Select when you want to print your package labels and other printing options.

On the Shipment Detail Report Setup tab, you can:
Note: This tab may be inactive for workgroup remote workstations.
Set your printing preferences for the Daily Shipment Detail Report. See Set Shipment Detail Report Setup System Preferences.
On the Shipping tab, you can:
Set preferences to specify when the system will automatically save addresses to your UPS WorldShip Address Book and what secondary sort information will appear when you click the down arrow in the Company or Name box (located on the Ship To and Ship From tabs in the Shipping window, on the Alternate Ship From tab in the Shipper Editor window, and in the Address Book Editor window).
Designate the first entry field in the Shipping, Address Book Editor, Third Party Address, Producer Address, Importer Address, and Ultimate Consignee Address windows.
Tip: Selecting a profile that includes a custom tab order in the Preferred Tab Order box overrides the preference in this procedure.
Set a preference to select the Quantum View Notify (for small packages) or Email Notify (for Freight shipments) shipment option when you enter an e-mail address on the Ship To tab.
Set a preference to turn Pickup Date mode on or off.
Tip: Turn on the Pickup Date mode only if you have knowledge about shipment processing with future pickup dates. If all of your shipments can be picked up each time your UPS driver visits, you probably do not need to manually select your pickup dates.
For Air or Ground Freight, set a preference for the commodity weight type.
Set a preference for the With Return Services check box on the Services tab. If selected, WorldShip applies the UPS Print Return Label Return Services shipment option to the shipment.
Set a preference for a UPS Express (NA1) cut-off time.
Tip: This preference is available only if you have a contract for this service in Europe.
Set a preference for Unit of Measure.
Set a preference for Processing Mode.
Tip: This option appears only if your workstation has at least one Trade Direct shipper with a destination CFS other than the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, or US Virgin Islands or at least one non-Trade Direct Shipper with an origin other than the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, or US Virgin Islands.
For Air Freight, Ground Freight, or Ground (Freight Pricing), set a preference for a default pallet weight value.
For Ground (Freight Pricing), set a preference for a default pallet height value.
Set preferences to display the transit time for US domestic and/or international shipments on the Service tab.
Tip: These preferences appear only if the Transit Times option is available.
Click the Dry Ice Preferences button to display the Dry Ice window and select your preferences.
For Ground Freight, set a preference to schedule a pickup during freight processing.
For Ground Freight, click the Pickup Notifications button to display the Pickup Notifications for LTL window and schedule pickup notifications.
For UPS World Ease shippers, specify if you want to be notified each time a Doc Box label and Master Invoice print for a master shipment.
For Trade Direct shippers, specify automatic association of child shipments to consolidated movements for automatic batch processing and what occurs after you process a consolidated movement.

On the Miscellaneous tab, you can:
Set a preference to print the UPS Driver Transmission Control.
Set a preference to classify Ship To addresses as residential or commercial.
Tip: This preference appears only if it is enabled by UPS.
Set a preference to automatically validate Third Party/Receiver Account information during shipment processing.
Set a preference so that WorldShip upgrades are downloaded to your PC automatically. Once an upgrade is downloaded, you can install the upgrade now or later.
Set preferences for pickup requests, record retention, and scheduling options for UPS Smart Pickup.
Tip: These options appear only if at least one shipper has a contract for UPS Smart Pickup.

On the System Settings tab, you can:
Set a preference to display the Welcome to UPS WorldShip help topic each time you start WorldShip.
Set a preference to display field-level help for select fields in WorldShip.
Set a language preference to display WorldShip.
Tip: This preference appears only for the workgroup administrative workstation and the single workstation.
Set a preference to be a Beta testing candidate in the next version of WorldShip.
Tip: This preference appears only for the workgroup administrative workstation and the single workstation.
Set an automatic reminder to archive your shipment database and the minimum number of days to archive shipment data.
Set a default directory for scheduled UPS database backups.

On the Dangerous Goods tab, you can:

Set a system preference for the chemical record data source.
Set a system preference for printing.
Manually enter or browse to the location for exporting dangerous goods information.
Define custom labels for the record identifiers in the Personal Chemical Table.
Enter Shipment Signatory Information.
Note: WorldShip will pre-populate the Signatory Name field only for CA to CA, CA to US and US to CA origin/destinations.
