You can intercept a previously shipped package that has not been delivered (that is, a package for which you have run End of Day and UPS has picked up) and provide subsequent delivery instructions for the package.
Note: Package interception applies only to shipments sent from a US 50 or Puerto Rico address to a US 50 or Puerto Rico address.
To request the interception of a previously shipped package:
Under UPS Pickups in the Shipment History window, select a date, shipper, shipment, or package for which you want to intercept.
If intercepting a single package:
On the Home tab, select Track and then Intercept This Package. WorldShip submits the 1Z Tracking Number to the UPS Delivery Intercept Page.
Tip: The UPS Delivery Intercept Page command is active only if you selected a single package (that is, a single tracking number).
If intercepting multiple packages:
On the Home tab, select Track and then Intercept Multiple. The Delivery Intercept Request Manager window appears.
Click the Add button. WorldShip adds the corresponding tracking number(s) to the 1Z Tracking Number(s) list.
Tip: If a particular tracking number has been voided, WorldShip will not add the tracking number to the list. Instead, a message warns that the tracking number cannot be added to the list.
Review the 1Z Tracking Number(s) list and add or remove tracking numbers as needed:
To add a number, return to the Shipment History window, select the additional tracking number, return to the Delivery Intercept Request Manager window, and click the Add button. The selected tracking numbers are added to the 1Z Tracking Number(s) list.
To remove a number, select the number and click the Remove Selected button. The selected tracking number is removed from the 1Z Tracking Number(s) list.
To remove all the numbers, click the Remove All button. All tracking numbers are removed from the 1Z Tracking Number(s) list.
Click the Submit List button. WorldShip connects to and submits the list of tracking numbers to the UPS Delivery Intercept Page.
Tip: A maximum of 20 tracking numbers are permitted per request. If more than 20 numbers are added to the 1Z Tracking Number(s) list, WorldShip submits the first 20 tracking numbers, and retains the remaining tracking numbers on the list. You must submit a request again for the next 20 tracking numbers.
