Note: UPS Smart Pickup is available only if you have a contract for this pickup type.
To set up for UPS Smart Pickup, the UPS Smart Pickup Schedule Preferences window appears automatically when either of the following events occurs:
The first time you process a shipment for a shipper enabled for UPS Smart Pickup.
You select System Preferences and then Miscellaneous on the Tools tab and the pickup request option under UPS Smart Pickup is not set.
Using the UPS Smart Pickup Schedule Preferences window, set a system preference for scheduling a UPS Smart Pickup by selecting one of the following:
Automatically Schedule a UPS Smart Pickup – UPS WorldShip automatically schedules all shipments for shippers enabled for UPS Smart Pickup without any prompt or confirmation messages.
Prompt User Prior to Scheduling a UPS Smart Pickup – When WorldShip detects that you have eligible pending shipments and you have not scheduled a UPS Smart Pickup for today, the UPS Smart Pickup Schedule window appears. In this window, select Schedule a UPS Smart Pickup if you want to request a pickup or select Do Not Schedule a UPS Smart Pickup if you do not want to request a pickup. If you select Do Not Schedule a UPS Smart Pickup, the Do Not Ask Again Today check box becomes active. Select this check box if you do not want to schedule a UPS Smart Pickup today, and this window will not appear again for today only.
