In the Shipping window, you must associate a shipper and profile with the current shipment. To make this association, click the down arrow in the Shipper and Profile boxes and make your selections.
Keep the following in mind when you attempt to change the active shipper:
You can select a shipper at any time - even while typing information for a shipment.
If you print some, but not all of the package labels for a shipment and then change the active shipper, UPS WorldShip alerts you that all the labels reprinted must be applied to your packages to ensure the integrity of the shipment. If you proceed to change shippers, WorldShip voids the shipment, creates a new shipment with the new shipper number and new tracking number for each package, and updates the Shipment History window with the shipment information.
If you have not printed the package labels for a shipment and change the active shipper, WorldShip alerts you that changing shippers affects all packages in the current shipment. Labels for the new shipper are printed as usual when you click the Process Shipment button.
Keep the following in mind when you attempt to change the active profile:
You can only select a profile if you are not typing information for a shipment, and the Shipping window is clear.
If you change the active profile and then click the Process Shipment button, the fresh Shipping window shows the last profile used.
Exception: When you restart WorldShip, the profile is the active shipper’s profile.
If you are typing information for a shipment and you change the profile’s values using the Profile Editor, the Shipping window is not updated with the modified profile values until after the shipment is processed.
If the Shipping window is clear and you select a customer in the Company or Name box or type a customer ID in the Customer ID box, the profile associated with that customer supersedes a profile associated with the active shipper or a profile you selected previously.
If you enter shipping information and then select a customer in the Company or Name box or type a customer ID in the Customer ID box, the Change Active Profile window appears. In this window, you must decide if you want to clear the Shipping window and use the profile associated with the selected address or use the selected address without its associated profile.
