Compare to and Convert Ground Freight LTL and Freight LTL Guaranteed Shipments

You can compare rates for a Ground Freight LTL and Freight LTL Guaranteed shipments to a Ground (Freight Pricing) shipment, and if desired, convert the Ground Freight LTL or LTL Guaranteed shipment to a Ground (Freight Pricing) shipment.

To compare and convert a Ground Freight LTL or Freight LTL Guaranteed shipment to a Ground (Freight Pricing) shipment:

  1. Enter all the required Ground Freight LTL or Freight LTL Guaranteed shipment information. See Process Air/Ground Freight Shipments.

    Note:
    For information on shipment options, see Shipment Options for Ground Freight LTL - Ground (Freight Pricing) Rate Comparison and Shipment and Package Options.

  2. Click the Get Rate button on the Service tab. The Shipment Rates window displays and shows both Ground Freight LTL or Freight LTL Guaranteed and Ground (Freight Pricing) rates and expected transit time.

  3. Review the rate and expected transit time comparisons and decide how you want to proceed.

  4. To continue with the Ground Freight LT or Freight LTL Guaranteed shipment, click Select Freight LTL or Freight LTL Guaranteed and continue to process as a Ground Freight LTL or Freight LTL Guaranteed shipment.

  5. To continue with the Ground Freight LTL or Freight LTL Guaranteed to Ground (Freight Pricing) shipment conversion, click Select Ground (Freight Pricing). The following message displays: "A label will print for each piece in your commodity list. Please confirm that the number of pieces is correct."

  1. Click OK. If you selected the COD shipment-level option before the conversion, the COD Application window displays. Continue with step 5; otherwise, skip to step 6.

  2. In the COD Application window:

  3. Select the appropriate option to either apply the COD amount equally to all packages in the shipment or remove the COD option from the shipment.

  4. Click OK.

The Create Ground (Freight Pricing) Shipment window displays.

  1. In the Create Ground (Freight Pricing) Shipment window:

  2. Update the package count by commodity as needed.

  3. Click OK.

WorldShip converts each piece to a package, and the Shipping window displays.

  1. Edit the Ground (Freight Pricing) shipment as needed.

  2. Click Process Shipment.
