Set Up for Thermal 4 x 11 Labels

In order to print UPS World Ease labels using Thermal 4 x 11 label stock, you must set up a printing setup system preference.

Note: UPS World Ease is available only if you have a contract for this service.

To set up your thermal label printer to print Thermal 4" x 11" World Ease labels:

  1. On the Tools tab, select System Preferences and then Printing Setup. The Printing Setup tab in the System Preferences Editor window appears.

  2. Select the printer in the Printer grid for which you want to set up labels.

    Tip:
    If your printer is not shown in the Printer grid, see Install a Label Printer.

  3. Click the Label Printer Setup button. The World Ease Label Printer Setup window appears.

  4. If the correct printer appears in the Name box, skip to step 8. If the correct printer does not appear in the Name box, continue with step 6.

  5. Under Printer, click the Change World Ease Label Printer button. The Printer Selection window appears.

  6. Select your thermal label printer and click the Select button. The World Ease Label Printer Setup window appears again.

  7. Under Label Configuration, click the down arrow in the Label Stock Dimensions box and select Thermal 4x11 or Thermal 4x11GDI.

  8. Click the Apply button. The Printing Setup tab in the System Preferences Editor window appears again.

  9. In the Printer grid, verify that the Printer Name shows your printer, Label Stock Dimensions shows Thermal 4x11 or Thermal 4x11GDI, and Extended Area Usage shows World Ease Label.

  10. Select the Default Printer check box if this printer is the default for this printer type. One default printer is allowed for each printer type.
