On the Reference tab in the Shipping window, you can specify reference numbers for the Air/Ground Freight shipment.
Notes:
You can add a total of 200 reference numbers per shipment.
For Air Freight: UPS WorldShip sets the first three reference numbers as Shipper Reference and the next two reference numbers as Consignee Reference; you can update these reference numbers.
For Ground Freight: WorldShip sets the first two reference numbers as Purchase Order and Bill of Lading respectively; you cannot update or delete these reference numbers. WorldShip sets the next three reference numbers as Other; you can update these reference numbers.
To add a reference number:
Click the down arrow in the Type box and select a reference qualifier.
Type the appropriate text in the Reference Number box.
Click the Add button. The reference number appears in the Reference Number grid.
To update a reference number:
Select the reference number for which you want to update in the Reference Number grid. The information for that reference number appears in the appropriate boxes.
Update the boxes as needed.
Click the Update button. The updated information for that reference number appears in the Reference Number grid.
To delete a reference number:
Select the reference number for which you want to delete in the Reference Number grid. The information for that reference number appears in the appropriate boxes.
Click the Delete button. A confirmation message appears.
Click the Yes button. The information for that reference number disappears in the Reference Number grid
To apply reference numbers to all Ground (Freight Pricing) packages:
On the LTL Reference tab, select Apply Reference Numbers to all Ground (Freight Pricing) packages.
Note: WorldShip only applies the first five Reference Numbers to the shipment.
