Export Information out of WorldShip

The Import/Export Wizard shows four steps to export information out of UPS WorldShip.

Follow these steps to export information out of WorldShip:

  1. Select a Data Type.

The Import/Export Wizard allows you to export two data types. See Select Data Type (Export) Window Overview.

  2. Create or Select an Existing Export Map.

Create a name for the data fields that are mapped to the WorldShip fields which you want to export. You can reselect this map for repeated use. See Select Map File Window Overview.

  3. Create or Select an Existing Data Source Name.

The data source name is similar to a data connection that is used in an import. When you create a data source name, it contains the data type file and location. The Import/Export Wizard prompts for the table or column depending on your data type. See Select Data Type (Export) Window Overview.

  4. Perform or Edit the Data Field Mappings.

Before performing an export, determine how you want to use the data. WorldShip contains more than 300 fields, but you will not need to export all of the fields. It is important that you select the fewest number of fields to get the most use of your data. See Mapping Screen Window Overview.
