Specify the Packing List Details for Small Package Shipments

Use the Packing List window to specify the Packing List details for your small package shipment.

Note: You must also complete the appropriate international documents. See Specify the Customs Documentation Information.

To specify the Packing List details:

  1. Click the Customs Documentation tab. The Customs Documentation tab appears.

  2. Select the Packing List check box or click the ... button. The Packing List window appears, and the commodities already added to this shipment appear in the Packing List.

    Tip:
    The Packing List check box does not appear for UPS Trade Direct, UPS World Ease, UPS Mail Innovations, UPS SurePost, or any type of Return Services shipment.

  3. Select a package in the Package Navigation Bar and then select the goods for that package by entering the number of goods in the Units box for each appropriate good. Leave the Units column blank if the good is not included in a package.

  4. If WorldShip is creating an Invoice:

  5. Enter the total number of units (1 through the Total Units value) in the Units box for each commodity shown on the Packing List.

  6. Click the Assign All Units to Package button to assign all goods displayed to the package shown in the Package Navigation Bar.

  1. If WorldShip is not creating an Invoice:

  2. To add an existing commodity to the Packing List from the Commodity Editor, click the down arrow in the Description of Good box and select a commodity.

  3. Enter the total number of units (1 through 9,999,999) in the Units box for each commodity shown on the Packing List.

  4. To add a new commodity to the Packing List, click the Commodity Editor button. The Commodity Editor window appears. See Add an International Commodity with Commodity Editor.

    Tip:
    The Modify Commodity and Delete Commodity buttons in the International Commodity Editor window become inactive.

  5. To add commodities to the Packing List from the Goods grid on the Customs Documentation tab, click the Add from Goods Grid button (only active when goods appear in the Goods grid). All the goods in the Goods grid are added to the Packing List.

  6. To delete a commodity from the Packing List, select the commodity on the Packing List and click the Delete button. The commodity is deleted from the Packing List.

  7. To delete all commodities from the Packing List, click the Delete All button. All the commodities are deleted from the Packing List.

  1. Repeat steps 3 through 5 for each package.

  2. In the Memo box, type the information to print on the Packing List (300 character limit).

  3. When you have specified all the Packing List details, you can do the following:

  4. Click the Preview button to validate all changes in the Packing List window and display the Packing List in the Preview window.

  5. Click the OK button to validate all changes in the Packing List window.

  6. Click the Cancel button to discard all changes in the Packing List window.
