To process a Ground (Freight Pricing) shipment:
Start with one of the following:
At the top of the Shipping window:
On the Home tab, select Multi-piece Shipment. The Multi-piece Shipment window appears.
Select Ground (Freight Pricing) Shipment and click the OK button. The following message appears: "A label will print for each piece in your commodity list. Please confirm that the number of pieces is correct."
Click the OK button. The Create Ground (Freight Pricing) Shipment window appears.
On the Service tab in the Shipping window:
Click the down arrow in the UPS Service box and select a Ground (Freight Pricing) service.
Click the Ground (Freight Pricing) button. The Create Ground (Freight Pricing) Shipment window appears.
On the Service tab in the Shipping window:
Click the Get Rate button for a Freight shipment with a Ground (Freight Pricing)-eligible weight. The Shipment Rates window appears.
Click the Select Ground (Freight Pricing) button. The Create Ground (Freight Pricing) Shipment window appears.
Specify the Handling Units.
Note: The Handling Unit tab in the Create Ground (Freight Pricing) Shipment window only appears for density-based shippers.
Specify the shipment-level and package-level details, such as:
Reference numbers, bill-to information, and package weight and dimensions, as needed. See Specify the Shipping Services.
Shipping options. See Specify the Shipping Options.
Special instructions for the shipment, the size of the package if needed, and any merchandise descriptions of the packages. See Specify the Shipping Details.
Shipment and package reference numbers. See Specify the Reference Numbers.
Add packages as needed by clicking the Add button on the Shipment Navigation Bar (see Use the Shipment Navigation Bar) and repeat Step 6 for each additional package.
When you are finished, click the Process Shipment button.
Note: If you selected Subtract in the Apply Default Pallet Weight box on the Shipping tab in the System Preferences Editor window and did not specify the appropriate Handling Unit information on the Detail tab, the WorldShip: Pieces Shipped As window appears. In this window, specify the appropriate Handling Unit information.
