Consider the following tips when using laser stock to print labels:
Select As You Complete Shipment (XOFY Mode) to use less paper. If you select As You Complete Shipment as your label printing preference, you use less laser paper than you would if you select As You Process Each Package. This reduction in paper usage occurs because As You Complete Shipment permits you to print two or four labels per page, whereas As You Process Each Package only allows you to print one label per page. With As You Complete Shipment, the laser paper is only ejected from the printer after you process the last package in the shipment. See Set Printing Setup System Preferences.
If you print labels for deferred shipments that require international documents, you may not be able to print two labels per page if you select Laser 8½ x 11 (2 Labels per Page) or four labels per page if you select Laser 8½ x 11 (4 Labels per Page).
Defer your shipments and then print all your labels at once. You can defer your shipments during the day and then mark and process the deferred shipments (which includes printing the laser labels) just before End of Day processing. When you process multiple deferred shipments, UPS WorldShip will print all the laser labels at one time without ejecting the laser paper after each shipment. See the following step-by-step procedure.
For maximum label printing efficiency:
Set your label printing preference to As You Complete Shipment. If you set your preference to As You Process Each Package or Ask User, you will not achieve maximum efficiency. See Set Printing Setup System Preferences.
Record your shipments, but do not click the Process Shipment button after each shipment. Instead save each shipment by selecting Save Shipment on the Home tab. The shipment is saved under Deferred Shipments in the Shipment History window.
Before End of Day processing, mark all the deferred shipments in the Shipment History window. See Mark or Unmark a Shipment.
Process the marked deferred shipments. See Perform an Activity on a Marked Shipment.
