To search for and select a Tariff Code for a commodity/good:
Do one of the following:
On the Tools tab, select Commodities and then International. The International Commodity Editor window appears.
Select an existing commodity from the top grid or enter the Part Number and/or Description of Good for the new commodity.
Under Invoice/EEI/CO Common Data, click the Add a Harmonised Tariff Code button.
Within the Harmonised Tariff Code Editor window, select the search icon next to the Harmonised Tariff Code box. The Tariff Code Look-up window displays.
Select the Import Country or Territory for which you will be searching for a tariff code.
The Tariff Code Look-up window displays.
Under Search Options, do one of the following:
Select Tariff Code, enter a partial Tariff Code in the box and click Search.
Select Description, enter a commodity description in the box, and click Search.
Note: Each search option executed will be listed and appended in the search history below Search Results. The available Tariff Codes based on the search options display under Search Results with an Action of Select or Refine...
Under Search Results, do one of the following:
Double-click a Tariff Code with an Action of Refine, or click once to select and then click Refine Search to see additional results.
Double-click a Tariff Code with an Action of Select, or click once to highlight and then click Select to close the Tariff Code Look-up window and use that Tariff Code. The selected Harmonised Tariff Code and Import Country or Territory will populate in the Harmonised Tariff Code Editor window.
