UPS® Protected Delivery
Ensure valuable shipments reach your customers with a secure PIN required at delivery.
Protect High-Value Shipments at Delivery
From electronics to healthcare products, high-value shipments face risk of fraud, interception and theft. A secure PIN complements existing security measures by confirming the intended recipient before the package is released.
Fraudulent “Not Received” Claims
Recipients dispute legitimate deliveries, forcing costly investigations and replacements.
Your Package Goes to the Wrong Place
A package may be rerouted or intercepted before it reaches the person you sent it to.
Porch & Doorstep Theft
High-value packages are taken after a successful delivery, before the recipient retrieves them.
How UPS Protected Delivery Works
- Add at Checkout: Select UPS Protected Delivery and provide the recipient’s email address.
- PIN Assigned: A unique, secure PIN is created and assigned to the shipment.
- Recipient Notified: The recipient receives their PIN digitally or through UPS Tracking.
- Package Released: The recipient provides the PIN to the driver before shipment release.
