The novel Coronavirus pandemic has created unprecedented complexities, which have required us to constantly reassess our operations. Our highest priority is the safety of our employees, customers, suppliers and the people in the communities in which we proudly serve.
We have implemented procedures in accordance with recommendations provided by the World Health Organization (WHO), U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other health authorities around the world.
We remain committed to operating globally and providing industry-leading service to meet your service requirements, except where constrained by government restrictions or other circumstances beyond our control. However, please be advised that certain service disruptions and/or delays may be unavoidable, for which we will not be liable and which may result in unforeseen extra costs or charges on the customer’s account. We appreciate your understanding in these challenging times.
The unprecedented Coronavirus pandemic and related containment measures remain a fluid situation entirely outside of our control. We will continue to exercise all reasonable measures to mitigate impact to our customers' shipments. View our most recent Coronavirus update here.

Surcharge Announcement
The growing impact of the pandemic, and restrictions imposed by authorities to contain its spread, continues to result in extremely limited capacity around the world. It has become necessary to update the capacity surcharges for specific lanes, effective Monday, March 30, 2020. The schedule can be found here. Because conditions are dynamic, the surcharge is subject to decrease, increase, termination or expansion to additional lanes.
For bookings made outside of those lanes with explicit surcharges, global air cargo conditions remain in flux, capacity continues to come offline and governments around the world are imposing local restrictions. While we remain open to provide service, advance shipment-specific planning on your part will greatly help us meet your unique service requests. Your local Operations and Sales professionals are here to support the movement of these shipments, and we are making all reasonable efforts to avoid delays. However, shipments are still subject to unexpected delays and service disruptions that are beyond our control.
The surcharges above will be assessed on UPS® Air Freight Premium Direct, UPS Air Freight Direct®, UPS Air Freight Consolidated®, UPS Trade Direct® Air, and UPS Temperature True® shipments. Charges will be reflected on your invoice.
We appreciate your business and will work closely with air carriers to mitigate surcharges to the best of our ability. If you have any questions, please contact your UPS Account Manager.
