Delivery Change Request

There are multiple ways you can change your delivery instructions.

Changing a delivery before it ships:

UPS My Choice® for home can help you manage your home deliveries to better fit your schedule. Signing up is free and it empowers you to change how, when, where and even to whom your packages are delivered.

Changing a delivery after a missed delivery attempt:

However, even without a UPS My Choice membership, if you weren't home during the first delivery attempt, you can request that UPS change the original delivery instructions for your shipment via phone or the Web. We offer numerous delivery change options:

  • Will Call: Hold the shipment for pickup 
  • Deliver to Another Address*: Reroute the shipment to a convenient location for pickup, such as a UPS Access Point® location
  • Reschedule Delivery*: Hold the shipment for delivery on a future date
  • Return to Sender: Return the shipment to the shipper (not available in Puerto Rico)

*A fee is assessed for all types of requests except for Will Call and Return to Sender. You will only be charged if your intercept request is completed.

Change your delivery instructions after a missed delivery attempt in three easy steps

  1. Track your package using your UPS InfoNotice number, found under the barcode.
  2. On the Tracking Summary screen, select "Change Delivery."
  3. Select "Choose Another Delivery Option."

Terms of Service

  • Available for package deliveries within the U.S. and Puerto Rico, excluding UPS Express CriticalSM service
  • Fee assessed only if UPS completes the intercept

Note: Delivery to another address is not valid with UPS Worldwide Express FreightSM.
