The UPS Service Guarantee (as described in the UPS Tariff/Terms and Conditions of Service) does not apply to Flat Rate Box shipments.
Hazardous materials, dangerous goods or other items subject to regulation under the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations, Title 49 (including Other Regulated Material [ORM-D]) are prohibited.
Limitation of Liability: UPS will not be responsible for loss or damage to Flat Rate Box shipments. You may declare a value for the package up to a maximum value of $500 for an additional charge. If you declare a value and pay the additional charge, UPS's liability for loss or damage is limited to the lesser of the value declared, repair costs, replacement costs, or actual damages. If you do not declare a value, you expressly acknowledge that UPS shall not be liable for loss or damage, and you waive your opportunity to avoid UPS's limit of liability by declaring a higher value, and waive any claims against UPS for loss or damage arising from the transportation. In no event will UPS be liable for special, incidental or consequential damages.
