Return Services

UPS CampusShip provides various return services that allow you and your customers to return goods by paying a nominal fee. Note: Return Services are only available in selected countries.

Before selecting a Return Service, perform the usual shipment processing tasks: Open one of your Address Books, and select or enter a Ship To address. Select a Shipping Service and Packaging type. Enter a weight (if required for the package type) and package dimensions (if using your own packaging). Enter or select Reference Numbers. Next, select from the following Return Services options:

UPS Returns - Print Return Label

With UPS ReturnsSM - Print Return Label, you can generate a return label and send it to the recipient with your shipment or separately.

Note: Declared value on this service is limited to US$1,000 or local currency equivalent. There is an additional per-package service charge.

Step 1 - Select Print Return Label in the Return Services drop-down list and enter the required Merchandise Description. From this screen or the Preview Shipment screen, select Ship Now.

  • If you select the editable Preview Shipment page, you´ll see that the Ship To and Ship From addresses have been converted to the Pick Up From and Return To addresses. To edit these addresses, select Edit next to the address you want to modify. Verify that the return information is accurate, and select Ship Now.


Step 2
- Complete your Return Shipment Label by selecting the label checkbox and receipt if desired. Then select View/Print to generate the label.

UPS Returns Plus

With UPS ReturnsSM Plus, a UPS driver carries a preprinted return label to the designated pickup address when attempting to pick up the return package. Two options are available:

  • 1 UPS Pickup Attempt allows the shipper to request one pickup attempt for return of a UPS-compatible package within the United States. If the package cannot be picked up, the label is left for the recipient to return the package via UPS.

    Note:
     Declared value on this service is limited to US$999.00 or local currency equivalent. There is an additional per-package service charge.

  • 3 UPS Pickup Attempts allows the shipper to request up to three pickup attempts for return of a UPS-compatible package within the United States. After the third pickup attempt, the label is returned to UPS.

    Note: Declared value on this service is limited to US$50,000.00 or local currency equivalent. There is an additional per-package service charge.


Step 1
- Select either 1 UPS Pickup Attempt or 3 UPS Pickup Attempts in the Return Services drop-down list and enter the required Merchandise Description. From this screen or the Preview Shipment screen, select Ship Now.

  • If you select the editable Preview Shipment page, you´ll see that the Ship To and Ship From addresses have been converted to the Pick Up From and Return To addresses. You can edit these addresses on this screen. Verify that the return information is accurate, and select Ship Now.


Step 2 - Complete your Return Shipment by selecting the receipt checkbox. Select View/Print and view the suggested Next Steps. The label will be printed and distributed by UPS; it will not be sent to your local printer.

UPS Returns Flexible Access

UPS Returns® Flexible Access is an innovative contractual returns service from UPS. With our unique UPS Returns Flexible Access shipping label, your customers can drop returns at any UPS or U.S. Postal Service® (USPS) location, including their own mailboxes. When a package is given to UPS it moves through our system like other packages. But when a UPS Returns Flexible Access package is given to the USPS, it is scanned and then picked up by UPS for delivery back to the original shipper via UPS Ground.

Arrange for your customer to receive a return label by choosing one of these options:

  • UPS Print Return Label: Enables you to generate return labels to include with the outbound shipment or send the label to your customer.
  • UPS Electronic Return Label: Allows you to generate and e-mail a return label to your customer.
  • UPS Print and Mail Return Label: Allows you to have UPS generate and mail a return label to your customer.
  • Authorized Return Service: Provides you with preprinted labels for distribution.


Note: UPS Returns Flexible Access is available to return destinations in the United States for return origins in the United States and Puerto Rico (Authorized Return Service is only available in the 48 contiguous states).

UPS Electronic Return Label

To have a return label e-mailed to your customer, select UPS Electronic Return Label in the Return Services options on the Ship a Package screen as you process your shipment. Your customer can then print the return label with a receipt and view information on how to arrange for collection.

Step 1 - Select UPS Electronic Return Label in the Return Services drop-down list and enter the required Merchandise Description from this screen or the Add Shipping Options page. Then select Ship Now.

Step 2 - If you want to print a receipt for your Return Shipment, select the receipt checkbox and then select View/Print.UPS will e-mail the label to your customer; it will not be sent to your local printer.

UPS Print and Mail Return Label

UPS can also print and mail a return label to your customer for you, providing a suitable returns option for a variety of circumstances, including product recalls. To have a return label mailed to your customer, select UPS Print and Mail Return Label in the Return Services options as you process your shipment.

Step 1 - Select UPS Print and Mail Return Label in the Return Services drop-down list and enter the required Merchandise Description. From this screen or the Preview Shipment screen, select Ship Now.

Step 2 - If you want to print a receipt for your Return Shipment, select the receipt checkbox and then select View/Print. UPS will automatically mail the label to your customer; it will not be sent to your local printer.
