UPS has been hard at work to ensure a smooth 2017 holiday season and to provide the reliable service that you trust us to deliver year-round. With our package network enhancements and the expansion of our new Saturday Ground Service Territories, we are ready to help you succeed. To plan ahead and have important shipping dates at your fingertips, below are some holiday shipping resources:
At various times throughout the year UPS must flex its delivery network to meet increased demand, including nearly doubling its normal volume during the November and December holiday season. To help enable UPS to continue to provide best-in-class value to customers while offsetting some of the additional expenses incurred during significant volume surges, UPS will begin implementing Peak Surcharges in 2017. To learn more about peak charges and when they apply, visit ups.com/rates.
To help you get an early start on Cyber Week shipping, we are offering pickup and delivery service in all areas on Friday, November 24. From November 20 through December 30 a limited number of UPS® Ground and UPS® Standard packages with transit times of three or more days, and with specific origins and destinations, will require an additional day in transit. Use the Holiday Ground Impact Tool to identify changes by ZIP code pairs.
All UPS 2nd Day Air® and UPS 3 Day Select® packages shipped on December 18 and 19 will require an additional day in transit. UPS 3 Day Select packages shipped on December 19 will be scheduled for delivery on December 26.
The most up-to-date transit time details will be available at ups.com/ctc at the time of shipping. Note the following last days to ship to ensure delivery before Christmas Day:
