How can I ship a package internationally using UPS CampusShip?

UPS CampusShip allows customers to ship internationally, provided they have the necessary supporting export documentation for all packages (Only applicable when shipping from the U.S. or Puerto Rico)

To select the appropriate forms for your shipment, follow these steps:

  1. If you have set your preference to display suggested forms for your shipments, the checkboxes next to the recommended export forms will be selected. You can check or uncheck any form listed.
  2. You can complete the selected forms on line or print blank forms and complete them manually.
  • Select Create Documents to fill in the required information and create completed, printable export forms.
  • Select Print Blank Forms to print out and complete the selected blank forms manually at your convenience.

To access export documents during the shipping process, select Export Documents under Next Steps. To determine which export documents may be required for your shipment, select Resources on the toolbar, then select Export Documentation. For further information, select Resources on the toolbar and go to Contact UPS for the telephone number for International Customer Service.

If you are in the U.S. or Puerto Rico and need a Shipper's Export Declaration (SED), UPS CampusShip also allows exporters the option of filing a SED electronically with the U.S. Census Bureau or completing the SED manually.

To file a SED electronically, UPS CampusShip will transfer you to the ACEWeb site so that you can file your SED before completing your shipment. After successfully filing your SED, you can complete your shipment and print your labels and receipt using UPS CampusShip.

To use this service, exporters must register with ACE (https://ace.cbp.dhs.gov/). If you choose to complete your SED manually, you will have to attach the required SED form to your package.

For more information, call the ACE Help Desk at 1-877-715-4433. For UPS International Services information, contact UPS Export Compliance at 502-485-2625.

UPS CampusShip provides various return services that allow you and your customers to return goods by paying a nominal fee. Note: Return services are available to most countries and territories. Also, some return services may not be available unless your Administrator has enabled them.

UPS Returns®- Print Return Label: This Return Service allows you to create a return label and send it to the recipient with your shipment or separately.

UPS Returns® Plus: With this option, a UPS driver carries a preprinted return label when attempting to collect the return package. Choose between these two options:

  • 1 UPS Pickup Attempt - This allows the shipper to request one pickup attempt for return of a UPS-compatible package within the United States. If the package cannot be picked up, the label is left for the recipient to return the package via any UPS method.
  • 3 UPS Pickup Attempts - This allows the shipper to request three pickup attempts for return of a UPS-compatible package within the United States. After the third collection attempt, the label is returned to UPS.

UPS Electronic Return Label (ERL): With this option, a return label is e-mailed to your customer. This label can then be printed with a receipt and information on how to arrange for collection.

UPS Print and Mail Return Label: With this option, UPS prints and mails a return label to your customer for you, providing a suitable returns option for a variety of circumstances, including product recalls.
