Important information: UPS email and SMS
If you receive an email from 'UPS Customs Clearance Update' or a text message from the number 50000 or 59895 requesting information for customs clearance, consider that this is an official UPS communication. Providing the requested information is essential for customs clearance, in accordance with current legal guidelines in the country.
Tax ID now required to ship to Mexico

On January 1, 2025, Mexico's Tax Administration System (SAT) updated its General Rules of Foreign Trade which impacts all imports to Mexico:

  • Consignee’s TAX ID is required for all shipments.
  • Detailed product descriptions.
