What's New For WorldShip 2026 (v29) April Release
UPS introduced several key service enhancements and regulatory updates for April 2026, focusing on shipment tracking, insurance, and international shipping compliance. These updates aim to improve shipment handling, customer options, and regulatory adherence.
- Dry Ice tracking is now available for UPS Standard Service with ADR regulation and updated labeling.
- The new Embedded InsureShield insurance offers extended coverage beyond carrier liability with three protection types and updated GUI and reporting.
- Vietnam shipping fields are updated to dropdown menus for city and province per government plans, and Ground Saver now includes USPS PO Box and US territories.

Windows 11 Compatibility
Certain Microsoft® Edge web browser settings will prevent WorldShip links from opening correctly when using Windows 11. If using Windows 11, ensure that your Default Browser setting ‘Let Internet Explorer open sites in Microsoft Edge’ is set to ‘Incompatible sites only’ so links from WorldShip continue to work as intended. If you experience issues and notice the default setting is set to ‘Always’, open Edge and change the setting back to ‘Incompatible’.
Ensuring you have Accurate Rates in WorldShip
To stay up-to-date with the latest rate and service data elements from UPS, it is encouraged to keep your WorldShip application upgraded to the latest version. When using a version of WorldShip other than the current year’s release, it is good to be aware of UPS’ data object distribution policy:
- Older than 1 year behind: Not eligible to receive quarterly rate updates from UPS. However, the latest version of last year’s release is eligible to get December/January rates is an exception.
- Older than 2 years behind: Not eligible to receive quarterly rate and other data updates such as Peak Season Surcharge, Fuel Surcharge, periodic accessorials, and other service-related distributions from UPS.
While these limitations do not prevent you from processing shipment using WorldShip, you may experience an inaccurate shipping rate and the potential for post-manifest adjustments on your invoice if using an outdated version. Upgrading to the latest version ensures you ship with accurate rates every time.
