The shipment you received was sent by a shipper who selected UPS® Carbon Offsets for an additional fee. Through this service, UPS purchases and retires carbon credits corresponding to the estimated greenhouse gas emissions associated with the transportation of that shipment.
The carbon credits are sourced from independently accredited third-party projects that avoid or remove greenhouse gas emissions. These projects may include activities such as restoring forests, reducing methane emissions, improving waste management systems, and supporting innovative carbon remove technologies.
