Your shipment automatically comes with basic coverage for loss or damage up to € 85 at no additional cost and no value declaration required.

If your goods exceed the basic protection amount of € 85, you can opt for higher coverage for an additional fee up to € 1000 for only € 12.20 incl. VAT. in the countries of the European Union.

What is the cheapest way to send my parcel?

Using our UPS Access Point locations isn’t only the most cost-saving way to ship your parcels, it also offers the most flexibility to you and your customers. When you select the UPS Access Point to UPS Access Point delivery, you leave your parcel at the nearest UPS Access Point location when convenient for you and your customer collects it when convenient for them. This also means you ensure the delivery right the first time, and you get to save on shipping costs.

Is there a collection fee?

What are customs charges if I need to send my parcel overseas?

A shipper is usually the one who pays shipping costs while a receiver pays duties and taxes. All parcels sent through this website will not have the duties and taxes prepaid. This means that the receiver of the parcel is liable to pay any applicable duties and taxes associated with it.

However, if the value of your goods stays below the thresholds of the destination country de minimis, your customer won’t have to pay customs charges. This is important to check and also to inform your customer that there won’t be any customs fees.

De minimis refers to a value below which goods can be shipped into a country before duties and taxes apply. For example, currently de minimis to ship duty-free parcels into the US is $800.

I am an exporter. What will I have to pay to send my parcel with UPS?

That depends on what and where you are exporting to. You need to take custom duties and taxes into account. These depend on the destination country and the value of the goods you are shipping. All parcels sent through this website will not have the duties and taxes prepaid. This means that the receiver of the parcel is liable to pay any applicable duties and taxes associated with it.

I want to additionally insure my parcel. How can I do this and what is the cost?

Your shipment automatically comes with basic coverage for loss or damage up to €80 at no additional cost and no value declaration required. If your goods exceed the basic protection amount of €80, businesses can opt for additional coverage up to €1000

The purchase price will be included on the summary page with the rest of the total amount breakdown.

It is important to bear in mind that the following applies:

The value of any parcel may not exceed USD 50,000 or equivalent in local currency;
The value of any jewellery or watches, other than costume jewellery or costume watches, in a parcel shall not exceed the local currency equivalent of USD 500 or equivalent in local currency;

You should note that the coverage and payment in case of a damage or a loss will be based on the value of replacing the goods that are being shipped. In order to calculate the correct value, we will need supporting documents as evidence of the prices of the goods.
