Flexibility for you and your customers

If you value convenience over speed and want to save on shipping costs, choose UPS collection and drop-off points, known as UPS Access Point locations. These are local stores across your neighbourhood such as convenience stores or grocers where you can drop off or collect parcels. The number of UPS Access Point locations has been growing across Europe, making it even easier to serve your customers abroad.

When you select the UPS Access Point to UPS Access Point delivery, you leave your parcel at the nearest UPS Access Point location when convenient for you and your customer in Germany collects it when convenient for them. Not only are you making it easier for your customers to get their parcels according to their schedule, you also save € 2.44 VAT incl. by having the parcel sent to a collection point.

If you don’t have the time to leave your office – don’t worry, you can still offer the flexibility of a collection point to your customers without having to leave your office or home: simply schedule a pickup and we will collect the parcels from you during your desired timeframe.

      Germany Customs and Regulations

The first thing you need to know is that your shipment to Germany is considered an international shipment. Due to your parcels crossing country borders, you will be classified as an exporter. However, thanks to the European Union, parcels to Germany (or any other EU country for that matter) usually do not have to clear customs (there are some exceptions when it comes to excise goods and chemicals). This means that the difference between shipping a parcel within Italy or to Germany is minimal.

For further information, visit the European Delivery page for information on customs and regulations for shipments within Europe.
