Temporary Service Adjustments Due To COVID-19
Governments of several countries within the region including Middle East, Africa, Indian Subcontinent and Central Asia, are implementing various containment measures in an attempt to stop the spread of COVID-19.
UPS continues to operate a regular service, however, there may be potential delays in services due to network constraints.
For our customer’s safety, our drivers can temporarily sign off parcels on behalf of the customer to avoid unnecessary contact via hand-held devices. We kindly request customers to open the door, accept the parcel and state their name for security purposes. Parcels that are not signed for will be marked with code CV19 plus 11 digits of the consignee’s name as proof of delivery.

UPS services continue to operate for both pickup and delivery in postal codes across cities in India in line with local restrictions. However, due to limited intra-country line haul options, slight delays can be expected. Please expect longer transit times for exports from India to Asia and the Middle East, and imports into India from the US/EU due to network restrictions.

UPS Peak Surcharges
UPS will continue service amid the ongoing coronavirus outbreak to support the demand and needs of our customers. Our goal is to ensure businesses and customers are able to meet their shipping needs as the demand for air cargo capacity increases.
Since 12 April 2020, a Peak Surcharge has been applicable to international shipments.
This is an evolving situation and since then the temporary surcharge has been subject to changes due to market conditions and may be extended or otherwise changed. Shippers shall continue to check ups.com/peaksurcharge for updates prior to tendering shipments.
Effective 28 February 2021 until further notice, the amount of the Peak Surcharge applied to shipments from China Mainland and Hong Kong SAR to India will increase. All other previously announced Peak Surcharges will continue to apply as set forth below and the amounts of those Peak Surcharges remain unchanged.
Peak Surcharges will apply to all packages above 0.5kg, including letters and documents shipped for the origins, destinations, and service levels in the amounts set forth below. Peak Surcharges apply in addition to all other applicable Charges.
A. Peak Surcharge – Applied to shipments from China Mainland or Hong Kong SAR to India
The Peak Surcharge that will apply to any shipment originating from China Mainland and Hong Kong SAR to India will increase from 28 February 2021 until further notice for the Service Levels set forth below.
The Peak Surcharge will be applied as a rate per kilogram based upon the billable weight of the shipment.
