An account number is invalid if it is not the correct account number for the bill-to party, or if it is the account number for a consignee or third party who fails to pay the shipping charges.
Packages with an actual weight of more than 150 pounds (70 kg), or that exceed 108 inches (274 cm) in length or a total of 157 inches (400 cm) in length and girth combined, as measured to determine their billable weight, are not accepted for transportation. These packages are subject to an Over Maximum Limits surcharge, in addition to all other applicable charges, if found in the UPS small package system. Packages exceeding 157 inches (400 cm) in length and girth combined are also subject to the Large Package Surcharge.
If a mistake has been made in the address, we will make every reasonable effort to find the correct address and deliver the shipment if it is within the same destination country. An additional charge for this service will be billed to the shipper. You can view the address correction charges in the Additional Charges table.
Charges to a payer's account in a foreign currency will be converted to the payer's currency using a weekly exchange rate secured through major money centre banks.
Extended Area Surcharge
UPS provides a collection or delivery service in extended, as well as urban, areas. An additional charge applies for each shipment that is collected or delivered in an extended area.
Remote Area Surcharge
This surcharge is applied for delivery to or collection from an area beyond UPS extended areas, which are less accessible for collections and deliveries (domestic and international services).
This charge is for shipments outside the EU, when the payer of duties and taxes is not located in the destination country. It is billed to the party who pays the transportation charges.
Depending on origin and destination, this surcharge may apply to certain UPS Worldwide Express Freight shipments. To determine if a particular origin or destination has an oversize pallet limit, please visit www.ups.com/worldwideexpressfreight.
If the receiver or a third party is selected to pay the transportation charges and the bill-to account is incorrect or missing, UPS searches its records for the correct account number. Whether or not the account number is found, a processing fee per shipment is billed back to the shipper.
Shipments with a value exceeds the amount of 1,000 USD and shipments with a value less than 1,000 USD which are required for import legality and / or government authorities and / or special customs clearance process (for instance returned shipments) must be released under import declaration to be submitted to customs authorities on behalf of the importer.
This is being charged for producing a billing invoice to the customer as well as the payment to customs in advance of the duties and taxes on behalf of the customer. Shipments which require special handlng with the local autorities after relesae for instance claims to customs, deficits, deposits etc.
This charge will apply according to the Israeli airport authority instructions.
Shipments valued more than 100 USD will be charged for computer / security fee according to the Israeli customs regulations and are subject to change according to the Israel customs authority's tariffs.
Shipments with more than 4 tariff customs codes will be charged an additional classification lines fee of 60 NIS.
Where approvals from Government agencies are required, additional charge will apply according to the relevant approval required.
Shipments which are being exported from Israel require an export declaration to be produced in order to prove that the shipment meets the export regulations. According to Israeli customs authorities export declaration is required as follows:
1. Shipment valued 200 USD or more
2. Shipment's weight 20 kg or more
3. Export reason – for sale or temporarily export
4. Specific nature of goods may require export declaration (for instance military / seeds etc).
UPS provides delivery service to residential addresses as well as business addresses. A residential delivery is one made to a home, including a business operating out of a home. For each residential delivery, an additional charge per shipment applies.
When UPS has taken measures to try to deliver any shipments, but has been unsuccessful, we will process your shipment acting on your instructions. The transportation cost and a surcharge will be charged to the shipper for the processing of each such undeliverable shipment. Please see the Additional Charges table for pricing information.
Some of the shipments being imported require special customs entries under separate entry forms. These kinds of entries will be subject to formal entry procedures. High value shipments, live entries, temporary import entries, re-imports, provisory clearance and any other additional customs service (such as labelling, inventory etc.) are included in this category. Charges for separate import entry and security fees will apply according to customs tariffs, but will not be less than 5 USD.

UPS also reserves the right to assess the Additional Handling Charge for any package that, in UPS's sole discretion, requires special handling.
In consideration of the additional handling required on our part, and subsequent potential delays in processing these shipments, UPS does not provide a money-back guarantee for them. UPS does, therefore, not refund the shipping charges if shipments requiring additional handling are not delivered by the time normally scheduled for such shipment.
A Large Package Surcharge will be applied to each UPS package when its length plus girth [(2 x width) + (2 x height)] combined exceeds 300 cm, but does not exceed the maximum UPS size of 400 cm.
Large Packages are subject to a minimum billable weight of 40 kg in addition to the Large Package Surcharge.
An Additional Handling charge will not be assessed when a Large Package Surcharge is applied.
During times of extreme volume surges, temporary Peak Surcharges may be implemented to ensure our network continues to operate effectively.
For the 2019 holiday shipping season, UPS will implement temporary Peak Surcharges to parcels that meet the specifications for Large Packages and Over Maximum Limits as well as Additional Handling charges.
Currently there is no Peak Surcharge in place.
