CampusShip Support - Return Services

UPS CampusShip provides various return services that allow you and your customers to return goods by paying a nominal fee. Note: Return Services are only available in selected countries.

Before selecting a Return Service, perform the usual shipment processing tasks: Open one of your Address Books, and select or enter a Ship To address. Select a Shipping Service and Packaging type. Enter a weight (if required for the package type) and package dimensions (if using your own packaging). Enter or select Reference Numbers. Next, select from the following Return Services options:

UPS Returns - Print Return Label

With UPS ReturnsSM - Print Return Label, you can generate a return label and send it to the recipient with your shipment or separately.

Note: Declared value on this service is limited to USD 1,000 or local currency equivalent. There is an additional per-package service charge.

Step 1 - Select Print Return Label in the Return Services drop-down list and enter the required Merchandise Description. From this screen or the Preview Shipment screen, select Ship Now.

  • If you select the editable Preview Shipment page, you will see that the Ship To and Ship From addresses have been converted to the Collect From and Return To addresses. To edit these addresses, select Edit next to the address you want to modify. Verify that the return information is accurate, then select Ship Now.


Step 2
- Complete your Return Shipment Label by selecting the label checkbox and receipt if desired. Then select View/Print to generate the label.

UPS Returns Plus

With UPS ReturnsSM Plus, a UPS driver carries a preprinted return label to the designated address when attempting to collect the return package. Two options are available:

  • UPS 1 Attempt Returns Plus allows the shipper to request one collection attempt for return of a UPS-compatible package. If the package cannot be collected, the label is left for the recipient to return the package via UPS.

    Note: Declared value on this service is limited to USD 1,000 or local currency equivalent. There is an additional per-package service charge.
  • UPS 3 Attempts Returns Plus allows the shipper to request up to three collection attempts for return of a UPS-compatible package. After the third collection attempt, the label is returned to UPS.

    Note: Declared value on this service is limited to USD 50,000 or local currency equivalent. There is an additional per-package service charge.


Step 1
- Select either UPS 1 Attempt Returns Plus or UPS 3 Attempts Returns Plus in the Return Services drop-down list and enter the required Merchandise Description. From this screen or the Preview Shipment screen, select Ship Now.

  • If you select the editable Preview Shipment page, you will see that the Ship To and Ship From addresses have been converted to the Collect From and Return To addresses. You can edit these addresses on this screen. Verify that the return information is accurate, then select Ship Now.


Step 2 - Complete your Return Shipment by selecting the receipt checkbox. Select View/Print and view the suggested Next Steps. The label will be printed and distributed by UPS; it will not be sent to your local printer.

UPS Electronic Return Label

To have a return label e-mailed to your customer, select UPS Electronic Return Label in the Return Services options on the Ship a Package screen as you process your shipment. Your customer can then print the return label with a receipt and view information on how to arrange for collection.

Step 1 - Select UPS Electronic Return Label in the Return Services drop-down list and enter the required Merchandise Description from this screen or the Add Shipping Options page. Then select Ship Now.

Step 2 - If you want to print a receipt for your Return Shipment, select the receipt checkbox and then select View/Print. UPS will e-mail the label to your customer; it will not be sent to your local printer.

UPS Prints and Posts Return Label

UPS can also print and post a return label to your customer for you, providing a suitable returns option for a variety of circumstances, including product recalls. To have a return label mailed to your customer, select UPS Prints and Posts Return Label in the Return Services options as you process your shipment.

Step 1 - Select UPS Posts and Mail Return Label in the Return Services drop-down list and enter the required Merchandise Description. From this screen or the Preview Shipment screen, select Ship Now.

Step 2 - If you want to print a receipt for your Return Shipment, select the receipt checkbox and then select View/Print. UPS will automatically post the label to your customer; it will not be sent to your local printer.
