How to Change a Delivery

Delivery change options for receivers, before a delivery attempt

Now you can reschedule package delivery, change delivery options or reroute your shipments to another location*. Stay in control with UPS My Choice® so you don’t miss any of your deliveries amidst your busy schedule.

UPS My Choice® provides delivery options within a specific timeframe, including:

  • Parcel collection in specific UPS locations (More than 900 UPS locations)
  • Change delivery address
  • Change delivery date and time
  • Add delivery instruction (Example: Put in front of the door/ Pass it to security guard)

Please note that not all shipments are eligible for a delivery change. Receivers of an eligible shipment will receive an automated SMS notification from UPS. Shipments that are not eligible for a delivery change include:

  • Export Shipments
  • Shipment delivery to commercial address
  • Import Shipments from countries other than the United States and Europe
  • Shipments where the sender has specifically requested to deliver to your address
  • Shipments where sender has requested for Consignee’s signature upon receipt
  • Complexity of the change and timing of the request that may result in any delay in delivery

Delivery change options for receivers, after a delivery attempt

If you missed a UPS delivery, you received a UPS InfoNotice™ letting you know that your driver wasn't able to deliver your package.

Use that notice to tell the driver what you want to do with your package. After you update the UPS InfoNotice, place it back in the same location where the driver originally left it. This does not apply to 'Adult signature required' deliveries. An adult must sign for these packages at the time of delivery.

You can use your UPS InfoNotice number online to request a hold on eligible packages.
