As a small business owner, you’re in the business to sell, and you know the value of selling your products on online marketplaces. But managing and shipping those orders can be a time-consuming task that shouldn’t take up the majority of your day.

This is where Marketplace Shipping comes in: A free solution for UPS ID and account holders to manage your shipments from different e-commerce platforms, saving you time and reducing manual errors by shipping in just a few clicks. How does it work? Simply connect your e-commerce accounts and find all your orders in one place.

How to connect your eBay or Amazon account

The good news is, you only have to connect your accounts once. As soon as they are connected, all your orders will automatically be imported into “My Orders”.

Follow these three simple steps to connect your marketplace platforms:

  1. Log into your account and head to “My Marketplaces” and select the marketplace you’d like to add from the drop-down menu.
  2. Give the online shop a nickname of your choice (Tip: if you have multiple online shops, use a nickname that helps you to easily identify the store), and click “Add Online Store”.
  3. You will be taken to the associated online shop website to complete the process. Once you authorise UPS to connect to the marketplace, you’re all set!

It can take up to 10 minutes for your orders to appear on your “My Orders” page. Once you have connected your marketplace, all your orders will automatically be added to this page.

Shipping your marketplace orders

All important information like the recipient’s and your contact details are already pre-filled once they are imported. Not only does this save you time, it also reduces the the risk of mistakes, making it easy and quick to get the parcels on the road. Of course, you can still change the service level, parcel size, or other information if necessary. If the order is an international shipment, please remember to add a custom declaration and description of the goods.

Once you have selected the order(s) to ship, you can choose whether you’d like to have the parcel(s) collected by one of our drivers, or if you prefer the default option of dropping the parcel off at one of our conveniently located drop-off points.

Can I connect other e-commerce platforms?

While you can only connect your eBay and Amazon accounts for now, we are continuously working on adding more e-commerce platforms. Be sure to check back often to see if the marketplace of your choice is available yet.
