There are special stipulations on the following commodities when shipping to Senegal. If you plan to ship one of the commodities listed below, be sure to adhere to the following stipulations in order to avoid delays and holds at customs.
- Prescriptions for personal use require an invoice and a prescription.
An Import License is required for commercial shipments of medicine. The Prescription has to accompany the package. However, it is not required to be on the outside of the package. It is acceptable to be included inside the package.
- Data shipments require an invoice with the value of the CD-ROM or disk only.
- Depending on the kind of medicine or drugs, private importers require a prescription from a Senegalese doctor. Companies, hospitals and clinics require authorization from the Senegal National Department of Pharmacy. For further information please contact your local Chamber of Commerce.
- Shipments of passports are only accepted when shipped from company to company. Passports may not be shipped from individual to individual. Shipments of passports are subject to French Border Police regulations.
- Data shipments require an invoice with the character of the USB stick (storing intercompany data) and the value of the USB Stick.
