Prohibited or Restricted Commodities

In addition to the prohibited commodities listed here, it is prohibited to ship the following commodities to Iceland.

Cows, goats, sheep, and pigs are considered domesticated animals. All other animals are considered non-domesticated animals. Items or products made from non-domesticated animals are restricted in the UPS system and only allowed with a UPS ISC contract. CITES permit and additional restrictions may apply, please check with your local ISC Coordinator.

Animal products refers to items such as animal feed or fertilizer made from animal parts, any such item which may cause a health risk or need a Health Certificate.

Blank checks are classified as non-documents and require an invoice. All other checks are prohibited.
Endangered plants and animals protected by the multilateral treaty of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES), must be accompanied by a valid CITES Certificate.

All import, export, re-export and introduction from the sea of species covered by the Convention has to be authorized through a licensing system.

Shipper needs to provide the following documentation:

Invoice with the scientific name and CITES certificate.

Additional charges will be applicable. Products of animals or plants subject to CITES can only be accepted under a special contract for International Special Commodities (ISC).

Electronic Cigarettes can only be shipped with an International Special Commodities (ISC) contract.

The Commodity is considered a pharmaceutical product,and requires an Import Licence.

Precious metals and stones are prohibited.
Personal Effects cannot be shipped between these countries
Used traveler's checks are classified as non-documents and require an invoice. Unused traveler's checks are prohibited.
