With this, you receive an extra commitment on the delivery time and an added assurance that, if your parcel arrives late (unless due to events beyond our control), the shipping costs will be refunded or credited. You also get a basic coverage for loss or damage for up to €85. Should you wish to insure your parcel further (maximum declared value is USD 50 000), you can do so for only 1% of the declared value or a minimum of €10 incl. VAT.

If you value convenience over speed and want to save on shipping costs, choose UPS collection and drop-off points, known as UPS Access Point locations. These are local shops across your neighbourhood such as corner shops or grocers where you can drop off or collect parcels. The number of UPS Access Point locations has been growing across Europe, making it even easier to serve your customers abroad.

When you select the UPS Access Point to UPS Access Point delivery, you leave your parcel at the nearest UPS Access Point location when convenient for you and your customer in Germany collects it when convenient for them. Not only are you making it easier for your customers to get their parcels according to their schedule, you also save €2.40 VAT incl. by having the parcel sent to a collection point and you save €3,60 VAT incl by having dropped off your parcel at a UPS Access Point.

The first thing you need to know is that your shipment to Germany is considered an international shipment. Due to your parcels crossing country borders, you will be classified as an exporter. However, thanks to the European Union, parcels to Germany (or any other EU country for that matter) usually do not have to clear customs (there are some exceptions when it comes to excise goods and chemicals). This means that the difference between shipping a parcel within France or to Germany is minimal.
