Belgium is one of France’s closest partners and the two countries enjoy a particularly close relationship, thanks to their proximity, historical and cultural similarities, as well as their closely intertwines economies. 40% of Belgians are French speakers and a total of 25,000 French residents travel to Belgium daily for work. In 2019, France exported almost 31 billion euro worth of goods to their neighbour.
Shipping to Belgium is a great way for French small businesses to get started on their exporting journey. Whether your customer is in Antwerp, Brussels, or Ghent, sending a parcel to Belgium isn’t very different than shipping a parcel within France.
Whether you need to ship a time-sensitive parcel to Brussels or multiple parcels a month to Namur, a variety of different options are available for your shipments to Belgium that will meet your and your customers’ needs.
For shipments that are not too urgent, you can choose our economy option that is based on distance and takes up to one business day. Your most urgent shipments can be delivered within one business day by 10.30 am.
Any of our Express services include a money-back guarantee at no extra cost. With this, you receive an extra commitment on the delivery time and an added assurance that, if your parcel arrives late, the shipping costs will be refunded or credited. Additionally, your shipments automatically include basic coverage for loss or damage for up to €85. Should you wish to insure your parcel further (maximum declared value is USD 50 000), you can do so for only 1% of the declared value or a minimum of €10 incl. VAT.
All our services are fully tracked across country borders and you can check on your parcel’s status at any time at no extra cost. Just the same, your customers at the other end of the shipment can track them as well for free, allowing them to know when they can expect your goods.
Your customers might not have time to sit at home all day to receive their parcels. Ship them to a conveniently located collection point, also known as UPS Access Point, so they can pick them up whenever it suits them.
Our UPS Access Point network includes local shops around the neighbourhood where you can drop off and collect parcels. This network is continuously growing in Europe, making it even easier to serve your customers outside of France. And not only that – you also save €2,40 VAT incl. when you send your parcels to a UPS Access Point location.
Of course sending a parcel to a UPS Access Point location isn’t all you can do. You can also drop off your shipments at one of the participating shops near you to save an additional €3,60 VAT incl. on any shipment.
As you prepare your shipments to Belgium, you don’t have to rush around to get your export documents, such as a commercial invoice, in order.
Thanks to the EU Single Market, goods can move freely between EU countries, so shipments don’t have to clear customs. This makes shipping from France to Belgium just as easy as shipping within France.
Note that some documentation is required, depending on the goods you are planning to ship, so browse our European Parcel Delivery page to get all the information you need regarding customs and regulations.
