What's New For WorldShip July 2026 Release
UPS introduced several key compliance and user experience enhancements for July 2026, focusing on stricter validations, improved data accuracy, and streamlined regulatory workflows. These updates aim to enhance shipment processing, ensure regulatory adherence, and deliver a more consistent and guided shipping experience.
- EU De Minimis Removal: Removes legacy EU de minimis logic so duties and taxes are now applied to all shipment values, with rating and shipment processing consistently calculating full customs charges.
- Additional Shipping System Fields: Standardizes MRN data propagation and validation, ensuring consistent synchronization across fields and reliable transmission to downstream systems (ESPS and PLD).
- Expediting FDA Brokerage Holds: Captures additional shipment details during processing and automatically transmits them to brokerage with the tracking number to support faster clearance.

Windows 11 Compatibility
Certain Microsoft® Edge web browser settings will prevent WorldShip links from opening correctly when using Windows 11. If using Windows 11, ensure your Default Browser setting “Let Internet Explorer open sites in Microsoft Edge” is set to “Incompatible sites only” so links from WorldShip continue to work as intended. If you experience issues and notice the default setting is set to “Always”, open Edge and change the setting back to ‘Incompatible”.
Ensuring you have Accurate Rates in WorldShip
To stay up-to-date with the latest rate and service data elements from UPS, it is encouraged to keep your WorldShip application upgraded to the latest version. When using a version of WorldShip other than the current year’s release, it is good to be aware of UPS’ data object distribution policy:
- Older than 1 year behind: Not eligible to receive quarterly rate updates from UPS. However, the latest version of last year’s release is eligible to get December/January rates is an exception.
- Older than 2 years behind: Not eligible to receive quarterly rate and other data updates such as Peak Season Surcharge, Fuel Surcharge, periodic accessorials, and other service-related distributions from UPS.
While these limitations do not prevent you from processing shipment using WorldShip, you may experience an inaccurate shipping rate and the potential for post-manifest adjustments on your invoice if using an outdated version. Upgrading to the latest version ensures you ship with accurate rates every time.
