Can a UPS SurePost package be upgraded to UPS Ground?
Only UPS My Choice® Members or Premium Members can upgrade a UPS SurePost® package to UPS Ground.

UPS My Choice Members can choose to
  • Automatically upgrade UPS SurePost packages to UPS Ground
  • Select individual packages to upgrade

Use UPS My Choice Features for packages upgraded to UPS Ground
Once a package is upgraded, Members and Premium Members can use the features available with their UPS My Choice Membership to reschedule or reroute deliveries to The UPS Store® or a UPS Access PointTM location. And packages upgraded to UPS Ground typically arrive one day earlier.

Note: UPS My Choice® Premium Members can choose to upgrade all UPS SurePost packages to UPS Ground for free. UPS My Choice Members will be charged an additional fee to upgrade to UPS Ground.  Upgrade requests cannot be changed or modified.
