What is a Paperless NAFTA Certificate of Origin?
The Paperless NAFTA Certificate of Origin is just like the printed version of a NAFTA Certificate of Origin except your commercial trade data is transmitted electronically directly to UPS, saving you time and paperwork. You no longer need to print out or attach the NAFTA Certificate of Origin to your shipment. Paperless NAFTA Certificate of Origin is part of the UPS PaperlessTM Invoice contract service and can be arranged through your UPS representative, or you can self-enroll at ups.com (where available).

To enroll online in Paperless Invoice, select the My UPS tab and log in using your My UPS ID and password (Note: If you do not have a My UPS ID, you can register for one from this screen). Next, select Maintain Your UPS Account from the My UPS tab, and follow the step-by-step instructions. If your account is based in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico, you will see an option to enroll in Paperless NAFTA Certificate of Origin after you enroll in Paperless Invoice.
