UPS Flight 1354
Service Update

On August 14, a UPS cargo plane, Flight 1354, was involved in an accident. UPS was notified that two of our crewmembers lost their lives in the accident at the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport. The two pilots were flying an Airbus A300-600F from Louisville, Ky., to Birmingham when the accident occurred. The UPS Family Assistance Team immediately reached out to support the crewmembers' families.

The NTSB has taken the lead on the investigation and will release information on its progress. Updated information regarding this incident will be posted on the UPS Pressroom as it becomes available.

For impacted packages, the exception code on ups.com tracking shows "Transportation accident occurred". We are notifying impacted shippers.
